Is there a story behind your name?
I’m often referred to my last name which sounds like “a lotta” and I’ve been also called Trouble for being a bit mischievous and sassy. Once my dad said I couldn’t use Velotta Trouble as a derby name because that was his name I knew what had to be done. I stole the name for myself and that was the day Velotta Trouble was born.
Did you have any previous athletic or skating background before starting roller derby?
I grew up in performing arts! My dance training has really helped when it comes to skating and bonus points for still being able to wear glitter!!
We all end up in the penalty box at some point. Which penalty is your favorite and why?
Track cuts are my best friend!
What’s your favorite Orlando theme park ride?
It was formerly The Great Movie Ride, RIP. Toy Story Mania, and Men in Black are super fun! Rollercoasters make me cry. Not rides but I live for HHN and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween.
What’s your favorite Orlando activity that isn’t a theme park?
Trying different iced coffees and pastries from local spots. Going to movies, the Enzian is a real fun time!
Everyone loves restaurant recommendations. Which Orlando area restaurant would you tell people to check out?
Domu, Eden Bar, Light on the Sugar and Kelly’s are other favorite local spots I looooove!!!
