I have adored Shania Twain since I was little and leopard is my favorite color. How could I resist a punny reference to honor an icon?
Did you have any previous athletic or skating experience before starting roller derby?
Prior to derby, I had been weightlifting for several years and couldn’t skate without holding onto someone. Derby helped me see myself as a real athlete.
We all end up in the penalty box at some point. Which penalty is your favorite and why?
I have perfectionist tendencies, so no penalty is my favorite. But I’m most likely to get called on a directional. I get so focused on hitting someone I forget what direction I’m rolling. Whoops.
