Is there a story behind your name?
My name is an intersection between my love for songs that make you feel like you’re floating (i.e. Champagne Supernova by Oasis) and Supernova Girl from the Disney Channel original movie Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century. I must have been 5 or 6 when I first watched it and I thought she was so cool!!
Did you have any previous athletic or skating background before starting roller derby?
Fun fact: I took Gym online in high school and I think that tells you what you need to know about my previous athleticism lol. I did skate in-line as a kid and got back into it in 2018 going trail skating.
Tell us about your gear!
The Old Bones compression sleeves have made the biggest difference for me, no more aching knees!
We all end up in the penalty box at some point. Which penalty is your favorite and why?
My favorite penalty is apparently directionals because I keep getting called out for them during practice!
What’s your favorite Orlando activity that isn’t a theme park?
I enjoy exploring the springs and trails nearby! I love to go hiking and have a picnic by the river at the Little Big Econ State Forest.
Everyone loves restaurant recommendations. Which Orlando area restaurant would you tell people to check out?
Old Cuban Cafe near UCF or Prato in downtown winter park. I also recommend grabbing some amazing pastries at Buttermilk Bakery in winter park and then walking over to Foxtail Coffee for some coffee to go with it!
