Is there a story behind your name?
I was a stage manager in high school theatre and once my director was talking to a group of actors and tried to say “chy and I will be working on cues” and everyone said “OMG do you call her Chyanide?!? That’s the BEST nickname!” So when I needed to pick a derby name this is the first one that came to mind.
Did you have any previous athletic or skating background before starting roller derby?
I was a local rink rat as a kid but I was never a great skater and never played a sport.
Tell us about your gear!
S1 Helmet with a visor is a necessity for myself as a short skater! The harder the wheels, the better for me. I love to slide.
We all end up in the penalty box at some point. Which penalty is your favorite and why?
Multiplayer! I just wanna touch my friends!
What’s your favorite Orlando theme park ride?
Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind! I love a good jam!
What’s your favorite Orlando activity that isn’t a theme park?
I love going to see live music at The Social, Wills Pub, & the Henao Contemporary Center!

Antonio’s in Maitland for Italian, Kabooki for sushi, and Poke Hana for poke bowls.
