Is there a story behind your name?
“The Destroyer” is what I used to call my temper. Playing derby has shown me that I can use those powers for competition and teamwork. I no longer consider it a destructive force.
Did you have any previous athletic or skating background before starting roller derby?
I’ve always had an interest in fitness, but I hadn’t played a team sport since high school.
Tell us about your gear!
My favorite bearings are Reds Big Balls. I wear the most gigantic knee pads so I can keep playing
We all end up in the penalty box at some point. Which penalty is your favorite and why?
Low block. I try not to fall during a game, but I’m always glad to know that I got in an opposing player’s way while I was on the floor.
