Is there a story behind your name?
When I was a kid, I was always the one stirring up trouble with my cousins and brother, which would lead to altercations. Being that my family is from Puerto Rico, the word maldita can be roughly translated to ‘evil one’ or ‘mischievous’, so they told me I was una maldita.
Did you have any previous athletic or skating background before starting roller derby?
I grew up rollerblading and ice skating, even working as a skate guard at my local ice rink to help pick people up when they fell. I also played volleyball growing up and joined CrossFit almost 5 years ago. I love to be active!
We all end up in the penalty box at some point. Which penalty is your favorite and why?
I can’t say I necessarily have a favorite, but I definitely get called for directional because I love to block facing the jammer!
What’s your favorite Orlando theme park ride?
My new favorite is the Guardians of the Galaxy ride in Epcot
What’s your favorite Orlando activity that isn’t a theme park?
I love to brewery hop. Orlando has no shortage of amazing breweries!
