Did you have any previous athletic or skating background before starting roller derby?
I’ve never played a sport outside of PE requirements but have always enjoyed being active.
Tell us about your gear!
I used to be terrified of falling when I was in recruitment but I’ve learned to fall and take hits so I’m not so scared anymore. So my wrist guards and knee pads are my cannot live without pieces of gear (even in roller rinks not playing derby). I was using Riedell R3s until they fell apart and am now using Bonts Prostar Skates and love them!
We all end up in the penalty box at some point. Which penalty is your favorite and why?
Multiplayer and direction seem to be the ones that land me in the penalty box the most.
What’s your favorite Orlando theme park ride?
Guardians of the Galaxy! It’s so fun and I get to sing my heart out on the ride too.
What’s your favorite Orlando activity that isn’t a theme park?
I enjoy spending time in museums, my favorite I’ve been to so far is the Charles Morse Museum in Winter Park.
Everyone loves restaurant recommendations. Which Orlando area restaurant would you tell people to check out?
I recently tried Ziggie’s Pizza and am obsessed.
